Welcome to Peapod Hotels ("Company", "we", "our", "us"), operated by Peapod Hotels. By accessing our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Peapod Hotels is a travel marketplace platform that connects guests with accommodation hosts. We provide:

  • A mobile application for browsing and booking accommodations
  • Secure payment processing through third-party providers
  • Communication tools between guests and hosts
  • Loyalty rewards program
  • Young traveller verification and discount services

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use our service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Types

We offer different account types:

  • Guest Accounts: For booking accommodations
  • Host Accounts: For listing and managing properties
  • Young traveller Accounts: For verified young travellers with special benefits

4. Bookings and Reservations

4.1 Booking Process

When you make a booking through Peapod Hotels:

  • You enter into a direct contract with the host
  • We act as a limited payment collection agent
  • All bookings are subject to host acceptance (unless instant booking is enabled)
  • Prices include all applicable fees and taxes at time of booking

4.2 Payment

Payment terms:

  • Payment is due at time of booking
  • We accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay
  • A security deposit may be required for certain properties
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe

4.3 Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by property. Refund eligibility depends on:

  • The host's cancellation policy
  • How far in advance you cancel
  • Extenuating circumstances as defined in our policy

5. Host Responsibilities

If you list property as a host, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate listing information and photos
  • Honor confirmed reservations
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain adequate insurance coverage
  • Pay applicable taxes on your earnings

6. Guest Responsibilities

As a guest, you agree to:

  • Treat properties with respect
  • Follow house rules set by hosts
  • Report any issues or damages promptly
  • Leave honest reviews based on your experience

7. SMS Notifications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS notifications related to your bookings and account. You can opt-out at any time by replying STOP or updating your notification preferences. See our SMS Terms for full details.

8. Loyalty Program

Our loyalty program allows you to:

  • Earn points on eligible bookings
  • Redeem points for discounts
  • Progress through tier levels for additional benefits

Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Program terms may change with notice.

9. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Attempt to circumvent payment systems
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

10. Intellectual Property

All content on Peapod Hotels, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Peapod Hotels or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for disputes between guests and hosts
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking
  • We are not responsible for property damage, injuries, or losses

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peapod Hotels and Peapod Hotels from any claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of [Your State]. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
